Over the years, Eric Bischoff has been a wrestling mogul on and off television.
His fierce, unrelenting drive to win led WCW past the WWF/E in the Monday-night ratings war for 84 consecutive weeks during the late 1990s.
While WCW has not been on the radar for 11 years, Bischoff has continued to stay active in wrestling circles as a top-level employee of TNA.
Still, despite his business acumen (or as some would argue, lack thereof), Bischoff, like many of us, prefers certain people over others.
For some reason, WWE legend Bret Hart isn't one of the people Bischoff holds in particularly high regard.
As brought to the public's attention by LordsofPain.net, Bischoff tweeted the following on April 11 in reference to a fan query about "The Hitman":
Another sad, bitter person. Too many of them in this business.
Given the last few years of evidence, though, Bischoff's criticism of Hart is not only unwarranted, but irrational.
For all intents and purposes, Hart had cast aside his bitterness the moment he walked out through the curtain on the Jan. 4, 2010 episode of Raw.
Since then, he has reconnected with Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon—two individuals who were the bane of Hart's existence for years.
Unless Bischoff and Hart have been carrying on a personal relationship that recently turned sour—which is doubtful—then "Easy E's" accusation is baseless.
For what it's worth, as recently as two years ago, Bischoff would have had a leg to stand on, but today it fails to recognize the progress Hart has made to put his unsavory past behind him.
